John Hammen, President

Mr. Hammen has over 25 years of management experience focused on Government Contracting and Construction Management.  Currently Mr. Hammen serves as the President and Chief Operating Officer, and he is responsible for overall P&L of the company while managing and coordinating Unit Managers across the gamut of SSG Core Competencies.  These responsibilities include all aspects of General/Specialty Contracting from marketing, estimating, engineering, procuring, scheduling, to project and risk management.  Mr. Hammen is responsible for management and coordination of all regional and project staffing for site construction activities including construction cost tracking, scheduling, safety, and subcontract work.  Mr. Hammen is a Licensed General Contractor, Mechanical Contractor, Underground Utility Contractor, and a Roofing Contractor.  Mr. Hammen is also a LEEDS Accredited Professional.

Jim Amoriell, Vice President Systems Engineering

Mr. Amoriell is a leading expert in information technologies engineering disciplines including Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Test Engineering, and Field Engineering. Throughout a 35 year career with IBM’s Federal Systems Division, and Lockheed Martin Corporation, Jim has been responsible for development and management of large complex strategic hardware/software systems throughout their system implementation lifecycle. This has involved responsibility for successful execution of each of the key IT engineering disciplines leading to methodical, cost conscious and quality approach toward implementation of these critical systems.  With this experience and lessons learned during this period, Jim has worked as a partner with both government and commercial organizations for the documentation and implementation of engineering best practices within their organizations for the development of products and services. Guided by his experience and Systems Engineering Institute’s (SEI) CMMI Models for Development and Acquisition, he has supported organizational efforts to meet continuous process improvement goals and for those interested, pursue CMMI Certification.

Patricia F. Arnette, Manager of Contracts

In the course of a diverse 25-year career in many aspects of Government Support Services as well as Program, Financial, and Contract management, Ms. Arnette has proven to be a skilled executive, visionary entrepreneur an adroit trouble-shooter, and customer support expert. Ms. Arnette has worked on the staff of several successful Commercial and Government contractors; and participated in programs ranging from, direct support for our War-fighters to the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Ms. Arnette comes to Services & Solutions Group LLC, (SSG) as Manager of Contracts. She brings over 25 years experience in Government contracting; from the identification of opportunities to pre and post award; and from contract award through contract close-out on efforts ranging from $2500 Micro purchases to contracts worth over $100,000,000 dollars. Previously, as the President and Owner of Analyses, Research & Management (ARM) Inc; Ms. Arnette was responsible for developing and growing a customer base serving as chief operating officer with full Management and P&L responsibility. Ms. Arnette held the position of Charleston Operations Manager for Capstone Corporation successfully graduating Capstone Charleston from the Small Disadvantaged Business 8(a) program to Small Business.

Mark Barnes, Sr. Vice President

As Managing Director Mr. Barnes is responsible for Business Development expanding the Core Competency service offerings of SSG to multiple industries both Governmental and Commercial and is charged with navigating new business venture avenues.  Mr. Barnes has over 25 years experience as a businessman with entrepreneurial experience spanning multiple industries and disciplines, he also has a strong background in operations, project management, sales and marketing, business development and finance.  In addition his journey has also brought him expertise in Risk Management and Loss Prevention enabling him to maximize his consulting strengths to work hand in hand within any business setting.  His expertise in designing Intrusion Detection, CCTV, and Biometric Access paired with risk management and contingency planning has not only proven positive results, but cost effective accountable alternatives to antiquated security practices.  Mr. Barnes has also developed a cutting edge remote video monitoring service that offers a comprehensive and all encompassing security service utilizing Human Assisted Technology.   Mr. Barnes holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Business Administration from The Citadel and served in the Army National Guard.
